MHFI COMMUNITY PROJECT

MHF(I) COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVE

Psychoeducation on mental health and common mental illnesses

Empowering community volunteers through in – depth training

Psychiatric medicines provided at nominal prices. Regular follow-ups.

Mental health check-up camps-psychotherapy & Psychopharmacology.

Initially, we worked in community Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), with corporations, companies and their family members. Eventually, we realized that the work in these areas was scattered and doing a follow-up was becoming increasingly difficult. Therefore, we decided to adopt a whole community for more exhaustive intervention.

Community work engages tedious hours of groundwork. To be successful in such an ecosystem requires not just knowledge and training but also grit and commitment.

Internship in the community projects gives individuals from psychology or mental health background an exhaustive knowledge about community mental health and how empowering a community helps address the mental health related challenges faced by its members.
